Veil of Flora is an encaustic wax painting of a dynamic abstract blue bloom veiled with layers of celled shellac, set against a waxy, white background. The petals and leaves are made of Intricate, web-like patterns which branch out across resembling veins or tangled tendrils. These add a delicate, lacy quality to the artwork. The painting conveys a sense of ethereal beauty, as if capturing a moment of nature caught in a breeze. A truly unique painting.

The beeswax and damar resin used in this painting gives it a beautiful glossy surface. The artwork features delicate layers of wax, carefully fused to create texture and depth. Buff with a lint free cloth to maintain the shine.

The edges of this piece are finished with the distinctive ‘shou sugi ban’ charred wood technique.
