Encaustic wax, alcohol ink and shellac on deep birch board substrate.
This painting features an abstract alcohol ink flower layered beneath encaustic wax. The centre displays a mix of pink petals, overlaid with lacy white shellac burns. Surrounding the loose petals are vibrant green leaves with intricate, decayed and vein-like patterns which add depth and detail. The entire design is vivid and artistic creating a unique, dynamic and imaginative painting.
The beeswax and damar resin used in this painting gives it a beautiful glossy surface. The artwork features delicate layers of wax, carefully fused to create texture and depth. Buff with a lint free cloth to maintain the shine.
The edges of this piece are finished with the distinctive ‘shou sugi ban’ charred wood technique.
Note: This piece is unframed with no suspension on the reverse, so that you can mount it to suit your room décor. Due to the cradle depth, this painting will also stand freely without a frame.

RETURNS
Gill wants you to be happy with your artwork. But if for any reason you aren’t, you can return it within 14 days of delivery, undamaged, for a refund (minus any shipping costs). Artwork must be sent back by tracked delivery in its original packaging or packaged securely and is your responsibility until it arrives.
Unfortunately, commissioned pieces of art cannot be returned.
