Lily’s Embrace is a beautiful encaustic wax painting of a pink Oriental Lily, mounted on a circular panel, which reflects the flow of the composition. The flower’s petals radiate from the centre and are framed by lacy, green leaves. Intricate details are layered throughout the piece adds to its character. The central stamens are carved from wax and are tactile, along with dimpled shellac burns which give an organic feel to the petals and the leaves.

The beeswax and damar resin gives the painting a unique texture and depth, with a smooth, glossy finish that enhances the colours. The artwork features delicate layers of wax, carefully fused to create texture and depth.

The circular edge of the board are finished with King’s Gold gilding wax.

Buff the encaustic wax surface with a lint free cloth to maintain the shine.
