This unique waxy, navy seascape with etched and carved rocks in the foreground speaks to us of nature’s forces over time. The ruggedness of this landscape is expressive with deep rocky chasms having been gouged out and moss and lichen clinging to the rocks, as the frothy waves ceaselessly crash on the carved coast. Your eye is drawn to the beautiful horizon tinged with a beautiful golden sunrise. This wild seascape captures the untamed power and beauty of nature, where the relentless energy of the ocean meets the unwavering strength of the ancient rock formations. It captivated the senses and evokes a sense of awe and admiration for the forces that shape out world.

The surface of this painting is highly textured, which makes it very tactile. The edges of this piece are finished with the distinctive ‘shou sugi ban’ charred wood.

Note: This piece is unframed with no suspension on the reverse, so that you can mount it to suit your room décor.
