Here is an update on my art journey….

Latest on website!

I have just uploaded four new large paintings to my website including Celestial Garden above. All are made with hand-dyed tissue paper mounted on canvas board then embellished with encaustic wax florals. Please read the full descriptions on my website for each one. They all have an ethereal quality and the encaustic wax provides beautiful texture and a luminous shine. Any of them would make the perfect addition to your home or could be a unique and lasting gift for that special person in your life. They are all A2 size and would be best displayed mounted in a floating frame to provide support.

In the Studio

I have been working on developing a new style of more abstract encaustic art on hand-cut birch boards - more details to follow shortly! Being on holiday restricted my normal art but did allow me to do some loose floral watercolours which will be mounted on cards or paintings for sale at the Craft Fair below.

Gift and Craft Fair - Nature in Art - October 25th and 26th October

I will have a stall at the very popular Nature in Art Craft Fair in October  where I will be selling my art and my designs on a wide range of products including tea lights, candle holders, paintings, coasters, mugs, and key rings! If you live locally, please come and visit me there! It is a fantastic place for a day out with its Museum and Art Gallery, Exhibitions and Sculpture Garden and a really great Coffee Shop. Nature in Art - Dare to Dabble course

On October 22nd I am teaching a small art workshop at NIA where you will learn to hand-dye tissue paper and then use it for a meadow scene acrylic painting. Dare to Dabble is aimed at beginner artists and is a fun, relaxed event. Book update!

Search Press, my publisher have sent me the first draft of my book - which is very exciting! I am thrilled with how it looks and can't wait to share it with you. I have spent some time this month editing a few details. My book will describe ten step by step techniques to try to hand-dye tissue paper and will also include ten inspiring projects to show you how to use your hand-dyed tissue paper. The book length has increased due to all the detailed instructions, photos and techniques included - this does mean the publication date has moved slightly - to March 2026.
