November 2026 Newsletter

Here is an update on my art journey….

The above image depicts a wild landscape in encaustic wax with heavily carved rocky cliffs. Knowing when to stop with this kind of art is tricky! However, with encaustic wax you can always scrape back all the layers and start again! So it is very forgiving!

Irish Art Retreat

I had a fantastic time at my recent Encaustic Art retreat on the wild west Atlantic coast of Ireland. the scenery was very dramatic and has proved a great source of inspiration for my seascapes in particular. The above painting is one of my new style encaustic paintings, as is the one shown below.

In August I was lucky enough to be interviewed by a journalist for Landscape magazine to talk about my encaustic art and hand dyed tissue art. A photographer also visited and took lots of photos of my processes as well as final pieces. I am excited to see how the article develops. It is due for publication early Summer 2027! Watch this space for updates!
